Arran Free Church has Youth Groups which meet on Friday evenings. There is one for 6 to 10 year olds and another for 11 - 16 year olds. Each one meets at 6.30pm on a monthly basis, on different nights, usually in the Church Hall at Shiskine Free Church. Both groups are led by church members who are Child Protection Qualified and certified by Disclosure Scotland under the Protection of Children (Scotland) Act 2003.

For the younger children, the evening consists of a time of games, a snack-break, a short Christian message and finishes with a craft activity.

The older group have a more varied programme. We have had a go at Encaustic Art, Basket Making, Acrylic Painting, Games Night and a Quiz Night. We have also had a baking demonstration, First Aid instruction and a local history talk.

Although most meetings are in the Church Hall we have travelled to participate in pony trekking, tennis and beach BBQ, pottery and a visit to Bible World when it was on the island. We have an interlude for something to eat and usually a talk with a Christian message or watch a Christian DVD which can often lead to interesting discussions among the group
